Instagram Update Now Extends Reels Duration To 90 Seconds, Try It Now!

JAKARTA - Instagram announced that they are extending the duration of Instagram Reels to 90 seconds, which will allow you to add more video clips.

Apart from the length extension, Instagram is also announcing new features that will help you capture your audience's attention and help you express yourself on Reels.

Now, Instagram provides new sound effects that are fresher and more varied to provide an even better Reels experience.

"From airhorns to crickets to drums and more, our updated collection of sound effects can help you inject humor into the reels or help your audience vent their emotions while watching them," Instagram said in its announcement, quoted Tuesday, June 7.

Also, you can import your own audio. If previously you could only use the audio available on Instagram, now you can use the Import Audio feature to add comments or background noise from any video with a minimum duration of 5 seconds on your camera roll.

The interactive stickers that were originally available on Instagram Stories are now also available for Reels. The stickers are, Polls stickers, quizzes, and emoji sliders.

Sometimes, as humans, we may run out of ideas. But you don't have to worry about that, because Instagram provides templates to make Reels easier.

"It contains audio and clip placeholders, so all you have to do is add and trim your unique clips," explains Instagram.
