JAKARTA - WhatsApp released the ability to rename devices linked to business accounts using the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.

Previously, Wabetainfo reported that WhatsApp announced a capability that allows you to set a cover photo to enhance your business profile. This feature is planned to be released in a future update in Desktop beta.

A few weeks ago, WhatsApp was rumored to be rolling out an optional WhatsApp Premium subscription plan, which would allow your WhatsApp business to link and name up to 10 devices.

There seems to be a correction though, the ability to rename the linked device is a free feature, not included in the subscription plan.

For those of you who already have this feature available, you can also change the name directly by going to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices > Device > Name. You can change the name according to your needs.

It should be noted that, linked device names are not visible to your consumers. The name is specific to the linked device, and is private.

WhatsApp has already rolled out this feature for beta users starting from June 3. Make sure you update WhatsApp beta to the latest version to try this feature.
