Following are the steps you can take to create a new Google account on an Android mobile device.

How to Set Up a New Google Account

Before creating an account, make sure that you meet the requirements provided by Google, namely, to create a Google account, you must be 13 years of age or older, and you must enter special information to verify your identity. This is necessary to ensure the security of your account.

The steps to create a new account are quite simple. Here's how:

On your device, go to Settings > Accounts and backups > Manage Accounts Search and Select Add account. Select Google from the list. On the sign-in screen, tap Create account, then select For Myself. Enter your personal information such as name, date of birth and gender. Click Next. You will be asked to select a Gmail address based on your name. You can choose one of the suggestions or create a new gmail address. Click Next. Set up a strong password and add your phone number to your Google account. Select Yes, I'm in. You can also choose whether to add the number for security purposes only, or use it across Google services. To do this, tap More options and select the required options. Enable 2-Step Verification (Two Factor Authentication)

To keep your information secure, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Google account.

With 2FA, you must enter an additional code every time you log into your account from a new computer or device or after a period of inactivity.

To do so, follow the steps listed below:

On your device, go to Settings > Accounts and backups > Manage Accounts. Select your newly created account from the list and tap Google Account. On the Home tab, you will be asked to turn on 2-Step Verification. Next, open your Google account in your mobile browser. Click Start. After that, you will be asked to re-enter your Google account password, and then go to the page containing the phone you used to get the command. Click Continue. Enter the phone number, and select the SMS or Phone Call option to get the code. Enter the code, and click Activate.
