JAKARTA - Twitter seems to be working on a new feature that will allow two accounts to co-author in a single tweet. On Friday, April 1st, a Mobile developer, Alessandro Paluzzi has uploaded proof of feature development.
Although the development of the feature has been around since December last year, Paluzzi recently showed the icon of the feature, and how this tweet collaboration can work.
The co-author feature won't be a problem for Twitter, given that rival Instagram has been offering something similar since 2021.

According to the screenshot posted by Paluzzi, you can only invite public accounts that follow you to co-author the tweet, and they must accept your invitation.
Once published, the collaborative tweet will be shared with followers from both accounts, and both avatars will be displayed at the top left of the post.
There's no word on when Twitter will launch the collaborative tweet, or if it will make it out of the development stage. But given that Instagram already offers such a feature, it looks like Twitter wants to follow in its competitor's footsteps.
