JAKARTA - Google rolled out several Workspace updates that include offers for video chat Meer directly on google documents, Sheets, and Slides.
You can start a virtual meeting and take it to the document you're working on to collaborate without having to switch tabs. This offer will be available in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Google has also introduced picture-in-picture support which lets you view up to four video tiles in separate windows as you jump between tabs and other apps using Chrome.
According to Engadget, this feature will help you if you need to show different tabs during a presentation, but let's be honest, it will also help you keep your video chat going while you want to keep other tabs open.
Other improvements to Meer include emoji reactions at the April meeting, as well as the option to add Ana's own video tiles from the interactive Companion Mode from your laptop camera.
Meet hardware is also starting to offer automatic noise cancellation. The collaborative Spaces environment, meanwhile, will finally offer inline threading to keep your conversations tidy.
