JAKARTA - According to the latest information we sought from mobile data analytics company App Annie, as of July 2021, TikTok users reached 1 billion and continues to grow. The more users, the more creators there are.

TikTok provides users with a safe space to watch videos and express their thoughts. However, there is still some content that users on TikTok may find offensive.

Content featuring hate speech, impersonation, intimidation, illegal content, and other content that goes against TikTok guidelines may be reported. If TikTok hasn't removed something you don't think should be, please report the content and delete it.

How to Report Account on TikTok

If someone you think posted abusive, racist, sexual, illegal or other inappropriate content, please report the account instead of the video. Here's how.

Find the user you want to report by searching for their username. Click on the profile you want to report. Tap the three dots at the top right to open the menu. You will find the Report option represented by a flag. Select Report Account.

This will take you to a list of reasons to report the account. Choose the reason that you think is most appropriate. You will be taken to another menu to define your report further. Once you have selected your option, it will direct you to the final step, where you have to submit the report.

How to Report Videos on TikTok

Sometimes, you may come across a video that violates the guidelines, but not the entire account. In this case, TikTok gives you the ability to report videos. Here's how.

Search for the user who uploaded the video or use relevant keywords to find the video. You can also find TikTok videos you've watched. Under the Like and Comment options, you will see a Share option. Tap to open the pull-up menu. You will find the Report option represented by a flag. Choose the most appropriate reason why you reported the video. Submit the report for review and select Done to complete the process. TikTok will notify you of the results after reviewing the video.

How to Report Comments on TikTok

If you feel someone posted inappropriate things under your video or anyone else, you can report the comment. To do this, follow these steps.

Open the video that has the comment you want to report. Select the Comments section to open it. Comments are displayed under the Like icon of the text message. Find the comment you want to report and click it to open a new menu. Select Report to navigate further. Choose the most appropriate reason for reporting the comment. Submit a report.

TikTok will notify you of its decision and action on the report.
