JAKARTA - The release of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has finally been delayed again. This time the game from the Nintendo Switch has been postponed. The game, which was supposed to launch digitally outside of Japan on April 8, has been postponed again due to the current situation.

Nintendo explained its reasons for postponing Advance Wars 1+2 via the official Nintendo America Twitter account on March 9. "In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to postpone Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th," he wrote.

Reporting from Siliconera, this is not the first time Nintendo has postponed its Advance Wars game due to world events. The same thing happened in the original Advance Wars.

Advance Wars was supposed to be released in North America on September 10, 2001, the day before the terrorist attacks in the United States. As such, the game did not appear in Europe until January 2002, nor did it appear in Japan until the 2004 compilation.

This delay is also the second delay for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Originally, the game was supposed to appear in December 2021. However, delays were made in the name of fine-tuning.

Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp is coming to Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in an undetermined time. Nintendo said to stay tuned for further updates regarding the game's release date.

In response to the delay, some game lovers understand this. "because Advance Wars is about war I support this decision because I know it will get a lot of backlash if they just released it during the crisis," wrote account owner @Toad_the_gamer.

The owner of the @AboutNintendo account also said that the postponement was the best step as a form of humanity. "Honestly? The best thing you can do. But the comments section fails to understand the bad taste of releasing it now and it lowers my faith in humanity."
