JAKARTA - Instagram will launch a caption or automatic caption feature for all videos uploaded to the platform's feed.
"We're excited to share auto-generated captions for IG Feed videos," Instagram wrote in its caption, Wednesday 2 March.
We're excited to share auto-generated captions for IG Feed videos. Adding captions makes Instagram more accessible for those in the deaf/hard-of-hearing communities🧏🦻. You will have the option to turn captions on (or off). Available in 17 languages (with more to come). pic.twitter.com/DiaFa95o7U

After five years of launching videos on Instagram, the app is now making features that are easily accessible to the deaf community.
"Adding captions makes Instagram more accessible to those in the deaf community. You'll have the option to turn captions on or off."
There will be 17 languages in automatic captions, namely Indonesian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Vietnamese, Italian, German, Turkish, Russian, Thai, Tagalog, Urdu, Malay, Hindi, and Japanese.
However, Instagram says that they are working on adding more languages in the future.
Many users appreciate this feature. One of them is the account owner @jkline120, "This is very amazing."
"This is great! This will definitely reduce editing for those who produce content and create their own text," wrote another account owner @antoinette_typ
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
