JAKARTA - After Mastodon, now Hive Social has reportedly benefited from chaos on Twitter with user growth of up to one million.

About three years after its appearance, the app claims it already has one million users and sits at the top of the App Store social networking app. This shows it has seen improvements in downloads.

Hive Social user growth comes as Twitter users threaten to leave the service just weeks after Elon Musk's takeover of the company.

Since then, the billionaire has also laid off two-thirds of its 7,500 employees, including executives.

In fact, Musk has also stopped the ban on three controversial accounts and former president of the United States (US) Donald Trump, although he rejects them.

Indeed, there are many alternatives to Twitter, but Hive Social is also arguably the closest replication of the microblogging network function.

With Hive Social, users can follow topics such as technology and movies, text sharing, images, GIFs, and even polls.

Users can also directly click the hashtag to find similar content and limit who can comment on the post. Moreover, users can like, comment, and redistribute their posts.

Hive Social also added features like MySpace, which is the option to add songs to the user's profile page by connecting their Spotify or Apple Music accounts.

Lastly, there are also some new elements, such as the ability to display a user's zodiac sign on their profile.
