BALIKPAPAN - The fire incident at the Pertamina refinery in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Sunday, May 15, left one person dead and five others injured.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of the Balikpapan Refinery said Ely Chandra said there were a total of five victims in the fire incident.

Meanwhile, the General Manager (GM) of the Balikpapan Refinery, Wahyu Sulistyo Wibowo, expressed his deep condolences for the death of the victim.

"This disaster has caused concern for Pertamina. However, we will ensure that the handling will be carried out to the maximum extent possible for all victims," said Wahyu.
