This Is The List Of Winners Of ForWOT Cars & Motorcycles Of The Year 2024

The Automotive Journalists Forum (FORWOT) today announced the winner of the FORWOT Cars and Motorcycles of The Year 2024 which consists of 25 vehicles divided into five categories of two-wheeled and four-wheeled wheels.

Like the previous year, FORWOT of The Year (FCY) 2024 chose one of the best models of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle, dab Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).

The chairman of the 2024 FCY Jury Panel, Mufrod, said that the presence of this event was a form of appreciation for producers who had contributed to the progress of the Indonesian automotive industry.

"We are seeing significant movement from the launch of HEV and BEV models, while the launch of ICE models is decreasing this year. This means that electrification vehicles are increasingly in demand," said Mufrd in his remarks at the opening of the award in Senopati, Friday, December 20.

In the FORWOT Cars of The Year 2024 category for ICE models, Suzuki Jimny 5-doors managed to outperform other models such as BAIC BJ40 Plus, Chery Tiggo 5X, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Toyota Hilux Rangga.

Then in the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) category, the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe HEV newcomer model won this award by defeating Toyota Vellfire HEV, Toyota Prius HEV, Nissan Serena E-Power, and Kia Carnival HEV.

Furthermore, in the BEV car category, BYD M6 became the favorite by defeating BYD Seal, Chery Omoda E5, Wuling BinguoEV, and Wuling Cloud EV.

In the FORWOT Motorcycles of The Year 2024 ICE category, Yamaha Nmax Turbo managed to be at the forefront of defeating Honda Beat, Honda Scoopy, Honda Style, and Yamahaatur.

The latter in the two-wheeled vehicle BEV category, Polytron Fox 500 beat rivals in the same class as Alva N3, Honda CUV e:, Honda Icon e:, and Kawasaki Ninja E1.
