JAKARTA - After successfully holding the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Gaikindo will hold the largest automotive exhibition in Indonesia again on August 10-20 at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
This year is the history of the automotive exhibition after it was first held in 1986.
"The organization of the Gaikindo automotive exhibition has been running for 30 times. During that time, Gaikindo has displayed various achievements of the Indonesian automotive industry," said Yohannes Nangoi in his statement, Wednesday, May 24.
In GIIAS 2023, Gaikindo will carry the theme "Future Now", when interpreted as "The Current Future".
Nangoi added that the theme can represent the future of the automotive industry in Indonesia, especially for electrified vehicles.
"Education and information about electric vehicles are still the focus of the Indonesian automotive industry and GIIAS this year, thus Gaikindo continues to support the acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) industry carried by the government," said Nangoi.
At the GIIAS 2023 event, several manufacturers will attend by introducing 250 new products with nine of them are world premieres.
The 30th GIIAS will be followed by 30 four-wheeled vehicle brands, namely Audi, BMW, Cherry, Citroen, Daihatsu, DFSK, Haval, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Ora, Porsche, Subaru, Suzuki, Tank, Toyota, VW, and Wuling.
Commercial vehicles such as Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Commercial Toyota, and UD Trucks were also present in this edition of GIIAS such as Adiputro, Laksana, and Tentrem.
In addition to four-wheelers, there were also 14 motorcycle brands that also enlivened this annual grand exhibition starting from Astra Honda Motor, Aprilia, Benelli, Exotic, Harley Davidson, Ion Mobility, Keeway, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Enfield, Segway, and Vespa.
In addition, GIIAS 2023 will also present a test drive and test ride program that offers a different experience for visitors who visit ICE BSD in August.
