The Experience Of Broken Hearts Becomes A Tool For Rian D'Masiv To Create Hits Songs

JAKARTA - Broken heart is a condition that is often referred to as the right moment to compose songs. At least, that's what happened to Rian Ekky Pradipta alias Rian D'Masiv when he created this song Cinta Kills me.

The song from the album Change (2008) became one of the hits that made D'Masiv known as Indonesia's top band. In fact, Cinta Kills me is still a mainstay after 15 years. The song is still sung by Rian with the audience during the D'Masiv concert.

Through his X account, Rian D'Masiv admitted that this song Cinta Kills me was inspired by his personal experience. He was once rejected by a woman even though he had declared love seven times.

"My experience in high school, I like girls shooting up to 7 times and always being rejected," Rian tweeted, viewed Monday, November 27.

Because of the broken heart experience, Rian still kept it until the song was created.

Rian even admitted that he still clearly remembered the sentence that came out of the woman.

In a state of heartbreak, Rian took the guitar and began to pour out his heart's contents through the lyrics spoken. Created the song Cinta This Kills me which has been the best hit of D'Masiv to date.

"Endingnya dia bilang'maaf kamu terlalu baik buat saya' ke rumah langsung akan gitar terus membuat lagu CINTA INI MEMbuntuk SAYA, sambil dalam hati berbuntu (semoga mendapat penjahat)," tandas Rian DMasiv.
