New Base Hour Story Towards The Age Of 3 Decades

Base Jam released a new single titled Kisah Baru. This song was released to celebrate three decades of work in 2024.

Kisah Baru dipilih menjadi single pertama dari rencana lima lagu baru yang akan masuk ke dalam album mini (EP) nanti.

More special, Kisah Baru is the first song their guitarist, Oni Fathoni has composed. This song tells about the passion to start something new, start a new journey and leave things unfavorable.

"The opening lyrics in this song 'You don't need to regret it. You don't need to open the previous wound. Just reconcile and forgive your love', directly straightforwardly convey the essence of this song message that invites someone who is experiencing difficulties, feels hurt, to make peace with themselves and start by apologizing to yourself," said Oni Fathoni in his statement, Monday, November 6.

"By doing this, it will help facilitate the process of continuing life and stories. And starting a new story," he continued.

On the other hand, the lyrics of this song also capture concerns, the confusion of someone who hesitates to separate from someone because they feel that is what they deserve to feel.

"In fact, this song serves as a reminder that everyone is inappropriate to get hurt and must be sure everything will be fine. I really like these lyrics," said Alsa.

Over the past year, Base Jam personnel admitted to gathering their experiences through many ways to observe the themes to be presented in the songs to be released.

Meanwhile, the theme of the song Kisah Baru is obtained from what Base Jam has done over the past year.

"And the theme in this New Story is one that we can quite hear. Regarding how to let go and choose to be happy rather than stay in a toxic relationship. So it feels right if we release this single for the first time in October 2023," said Alvin.

The process of working on this single is the result of collaboration between all Base Jam personnel and Peter Lawdek, as co-producers. They were also assisted by Bakhesty Igirisa as vocal directors.

Base Jam consisting of Sigit (vocals), Aris (guitar), Sita (bass), Oni (guitar), Alvin (vocals) and Alsa (drums) hopes that the presence of this single can inspire and become a happy soundtrack in the lives of Indonesian listeners and music lovers.
