JAKARTA - Spotify revealed that Taylor Swift broke two new records on the streaming platform.

Swift re-released the 1989 album on October 27 yesterday, the fourth album from a series of re-recordings that the pop star is currently doing.

It is known that this effort was carried out by Swift following her dispute with Scooter Braun, the former owner of the previous label, Big Machine Records.

And since 1989 (Taylor's Version) was released, Spotify said Swift broke two new records. In a tweet on X/Twitter, they said: "He did it again."

Taylor Swift became the most screened artist in a single day in Spotify history, and 1989 (Tay Taylor's version) became Spotify's most played album in one day in 2023 so far.

Swift previously held the record for the most streaming albums in a day, thanks to the album 2022, Midnights.

The re-recording, which features five new songs from Swift, is called NME "very interesting" in five-star reviews.
