K-pop Appreciation, Laufey Claims To Like NewJeans Music

JAKARTA - Laufey Lin J wayosdhattir alias Laufey appreciates K-pop music, which has recently become one of the world's major music industries.

When he was a guest on a podcast hosted by Zach Sang, Laufey was asked about K-pop music.

Suddenly, Laufey talked about his love for NewJeans, the fourth most talked about girl group K-pop at this time.

"I really like NewJeans," Laufey said.

"They, in my opinion, have very good music," he continued.

Laufey sees NewJeans as a group formed through well-planned music projects.

"In my opinion, the project as a whole is extraordinary, art direction behind it, very good music, and all the messages that are brought, I think that's great," Laufey said.

Furthermore, Laufey, who has Asian descent from his mother who is from China, was delighted to see Asian women perform on the world stage.

"As Asian women, seeing Asian girls achieve success and look everywhere, that's really cool," she said.

For information, Laufey is a singer from Iceland who works in the United States. He is known for his musical style which carries modern jazz.

His last album, Bewitched received very good appreciation. The album set the record for being the biggest jazz album on the first day on Spotify.
