Judas Priest Replaces Ozzy Osbourne, Power Trip Festival Remains Strong

JAKARTA - Judas Priest has been added to the Power Trip Festival line-up. The NWBHM legend will appear on Saturday, October 7 with AC/DC.

The British heavy metal legend will fill the slot originally provided for Ozzy Osbourne.

Originally, The Prince of Darkness would appear at the festival which will take place on October 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club Indio, California.

Legendary vocalist Black Sabbath released the following statement: "Even though it hurts, I have to make a decision to step down from the Power Trip show in October."

"My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to make this show came, I was optimisticly moving forward."

"Unfortunately, my body says I'm not ready yet and I'm too proud to have my first show in nearly five years to be half-hearted."

"Band who will replace me in Power Trip will soon be announced. They are my personal friends and I promise that you will not be disappointed."

"Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continuous support. I love you all and see you again."

With the inclusion of Judas Priest replacing Ozzy, this three-day historic event will remain strong in bringing together six iconic bands that define loud and powerful music: Guns N' Roses and Iron Maiden (Friday, October 6), AC/DC and Judas Priest (Saturday, October 7) and Metallica and TOOL (Sunday, October 8).
