JAKARTA - In a recent interview with British Total Guitar magazine, Wolfgang Van Halen, former Van Halen bassist and son of late guitarist Eddie Van Halen, confirmed that the second album Mammoth WVH was almost complete.

The effort will be a follow-up to Mammoth WVH, which arrived in June 2021, about five years after the 31-year-old began raising ideas for his solo career.

Regarding his decision to return to playing all the instruments alone in the new album Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang said.

"Some people are trying to turn me into all the musical instruments (on this album) into negative things, this surprises me. It seems they don't think I'm going to let other people play it. But it's really Mammoth and it's always been like that, this is my artistic expression," Wolfie said. quoted from Blabbermouth, Monday.

"I've been in a band before where you collaborated and not like that (my solo album)," he explained. "I have a stage band, but in the studio I do everything and have fun doing it. I'm happy to be able to express myself music in every way."

On the topic of what fans can expect from this second album of Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang revealed that this album will sound a bit similar to the previous album because it was done by the same person.

"But I think in today's material, you can hear me challenge myself a little more. I'm becoming more confident and I know what the project is now, rather than trying to figure out what it was from scratch, like the first one," he said.
