JAKARTA - GIGI guitarist, Dewa Budjana, released a new single titled Lillahi Ta'ala with Astrid under Lemmon Music on February 24.

"From last year, there was a plan to collaborate to present my songs with the singer (guitar concept and singer). This third collaboration is the song Lilahi Ta'ala by featuring Astrid, as the singer," explained Dewa Budjana at the launch of this single Lillahi Ta'ala in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Behind the making of Lillahi Ta'ala's single, Dewa Budjana wanted to convey the meaning of surrendering as a human being to the Creator.

"If I, as the creator of the song, might want to make a deeper work in terms of notation. Incidentally, Lemmy Ibrahim (Lemmon Music) offers the lyrics that I think are very fitting. The understanding of this single is more surrendering," he said.

"My old friend Lemmy has been playing music in Jakarta since the beginning, but we haven't been together for a long time. Only around 2015 we met again. Lemmon Music is Lemmon Music who supports me as a promoter of my concert (Zentuary at the Breksi Cliff) in 2018. He is also the executive producer of my live album in Los Angeles (Mahandini)," continued Dewa Budjana.

Similarly, Lemmy Ibrahim, as the lyricist, also the owner of the rental company LEMON.ID, said that Lillahi Ta'ala's single was nothing but to give life back to the Creator.

"Basic his idea, all because of Allah. Whatever it is because of Allah and for Allah. Peace in the womb to the grave of all Lillahi Ta'ala. This song is from the bottom of Dewa Budjana's heart for Muslims," explained Lemmy Ibrahim added.

The election of Astrid as a vocal filler in this single is because Dewa Budjana is attracted to her distinctive voice character. Although this is the first time collaborating with the famous singer, Dewa Budjana admits that there are no difficulties during the recording.

"I knew Astrid when GIGI was both on Sony Music. For me Astrid has a very strong voice character for this song. Plus the first collaboration with Astrid, the work is very easy and very simple," concluded Dewa Budjana.
