Southguns Image Quarter Life Crisis Conflict Via Solitude

JAKARTA - The pop-punk music group from Depok, Southguns, released a new single entitled Solitude which tells about the experience of quarter life crisis.

Quarter-life crisis is an increasingly occurring phenomenon in the younger generation, where they feel pressured because they are not ready to face the future, confused in finding their identity, and feel unsuitable with the surrounding environment.

"This song is the first song written for Southguns, as a whole Solitude tells about the experience of quarter-life crisis, a phase in life where we are faced with the reality that the world is not always in line with expectations and struggles to understand yourself," said Southguns guitarist Aldo as quoted by Antara, Wednesday.

"However, instead of feeling the sadness, this song actually invites anyone who experiences the same thing to fight and accept it," he added.

Unlike their previous two singles, the latest work from the band, which is fronted by Mochammad Fandhika (vocals) and Dony Setiawan (guitar) Pratiko J S (drums), Aldo Simon (guitar) and also Alenmini (bass) comes with a pop-punk arrangement that is more intense and energetic.

Through this song, Southguns managed to describe the feelings and conflicts experienced by many people in the quarter-life crisis.

This song also invites listeners to better understand and appreciate the struggle in finding identity and finding the meaning of life that is in accordance with itself.
