Implementation Permits Revoked: Police Explaining Errors To The Music Concert Committee At Disbanded GBK Istora

JAKARTA - In the aftermath of the large number of visitors to the music concert at Istora GBK Senayan on Saturday night, October 29, the Central Jakarta Metro Police finally explicitly revoked the concert permit.

In fact, the music concert was held until Sunday, October 30.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin explained that the concert permit was revoked because the police had found a number of violations at the location.

"Allow them to date the concert. It is possible that we will revoke their concert permit," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, October 30, morning.

Furthermore, Kombes Komarudin said, his party is currently continuing to evaluate. If there are many fatal facts in the evaluation, we can definitely revoke the concert permit.

"We will call EO," he said.

Kombes Komarudin explained that the event committee team had been advised to limit the number of spectators, with only three of the five stages being played.

In addition, the police also asked for tents for health facilities to be added.

"This morning we called the Regional Police to limit the number of spectators. Then we asked for two stages outside to be closed, so we closed one stage inside and two stages outside. Then we also asked for additional health tents. In fact, we saw that what was played was four stages outside played one more stage," he explained.

In addition, Kombes Komarudin said, the event should have received a permit until 23.00 WIB, but the event committee continued to play concerts until 24.00 WIB

"Until 23.00 (permission), last night including their violations until 00.00 WIB had passed the deadline, we have advised them to keep playing. But today there are a lot of violations, the most fatal over capacity, because we consider them not to pay attention to safety factors and many closed evacuation routes," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a music concert with the theme 'Swimming at Istora was stopped by the Central Jakarta Metro Police on Saturday, October 29, evening.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin explained that the music concert was stopped and disbanded because the audience's capacity exceeded the rules.

"It's already overloaded or overcapacity, that's why we stopped it," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed by VOI, Sunday morning, October 30.
