Clarification Of Band Box After Collection For Royalty By Former Members

JAKARTA - Posan Tobing expressed his disappointment with the band Kotak because of the royalties he did not get. In addition, Posan also expressed his disappointment when he heard a box that he did not want to find a drummer.

Not wanting to drag on, the three members of the band Kotak - Tantri, Chua, and Cella made a clarification. They wanted to straighten out some statements about what Posan was talking about.

Chua explained that the royalties rules were made by WAMI or Wahana Musik Indonesia. They admitted that they had to take care of related parties to talk about royalties.

And in Indonesia itself there is an agency regulated by the government, based on Government Regulation No. 56 in conjunction with the LMK Copyright Law (Collective Management Agency) in this case WAMI (Indonesian Music Waana)," said Chua.

According to Kotak, Posan is wrong if they ask for royalties from their side. The reason is that there are already institutions that regulate the royalties, including songs mentioned by Posan.

"For example, I'll give an example, for friends, say performance using the song Box, you don't have to pay it to us. But you will pay it to WAMI later WAMI who pays us," said Tantri.

Cella also explained the royalties for the song Pelang-Pelan Just, Always Love, and Still Love which is often performed by the Box. He mentioned that there were Pay and Dewiq roles in writing these songs.

Kotak juga menjelaskan bahwa mereka sudah punya lagu untuk Kerabat Kotak. Oleh karena itu mereka tidak pernah membawakan lagu dicipta Posan sejak drummer itu keluar pada tahun 2011.
