West Side Story Director Steven Spielberg Debuts Directing Marcus Mumford Music Video

JAKARTA - Legendary director Steven Spielberg directed the music video for Marcus Mumford's latest song, Cannibal. This song is the singer's main single, which will be released on his latest album on September 16.

Mumford posted several photos showing Steven Spielberg sitting on a chair. Uniquely, he is seen using his mobile phone to record the entire music video process.

"On Sunday July 3, at a school gym in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video in spotlight with his phone," wrote Marcus Mumford.

"I've had a lot of support from people to bring this music to you, and I can't stop sharing my gratitude," said the Mumford and Sons frontman.

Spielberg's wife, Kate Capshaw was also seen helping him by holding the chair his husband was sitting on. In addition he is a producer for Mumford's music videos.

Meanwhile, his wife, actress Carey Mulligan, joined the production. Marcus Mumford said Mulligan was responsible for the costumes and sound for this album.

Steven Spielberg is called one of the most successful directors in the history of cinema. Some of the films he has directed are Jaws, the Indiana Jones franchise, Jurassic Park, and most recently West Side Story.

On the other hand, Spielberg will return with his latest film titled The Fabelmans. The film stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano and is scheduled to be released on November 23.
