JAKARTA - A few days ago, Spotify introduced the Live Event Feed as a replacement for the Concert Hub, and several other updates to the app.
This Live Events feed will help you search and find live events in your local area, specially personalized by the Spotify app.
Behind the introduction of this Live Event feed, Spotify's Senior Director of Live Events René Volker realized how important live shows are for content creators and the music industry, especially during a pandemic.
"With the show returning, and listeners excited to see their favorite artists perform live again, we thought this was the perfect time to explore new ways that Spotify can better support the industry," said Rene.
If you don't see the Live Events feed in your app, you can search for "Live Events" in the search bar, and then Spotify will bring up a list of all shows in your area.
If you click on one of these shows, Spotify will take you to an interface that includes a link where you can find and buy tickets for that show.
Also, another update is that, when an artist whose song you listen to frequently has a concert, Spotify will notify you of the show.
Spotify has also created a new messaging tool that can notify you of upcoming concerts based on your listening habits.
But don't worry, because you can change your notification preferences so you don't have to receive messages if you don't want to.
