Commemorating The Birthday Of Pancasila, IForte Gives Access To Watch The Sabang Merauke Performance For Free

JAKARTA - The birthday of Pancasila is celebrated every June 1st. To commemorate it, iForte held a Sabang - Merauke Performance With Live Performance at the Djakarta Theater on 3-5 June. The stage presented 21 folk songs and one national song which were arranged in harmony.

To achieve this, the performance involved five national singers, 46 traditional and modern musicians, and 135 professional dancers. Before the show starts, the audience will be greeted by the Betawi Palang Pintu procession which is a symbol of Jakarta as the host.

This performance actually premiered live at the Prambanan Temple Courtyard, Yogyakarta, on March 26, 2022. At that time, the Sabang – Merauke Performance successfully captivated the audience through performances of various elements of regional art that were beautifully presented on stage with the spectacular Prambanan Temple as the backdrop.

Regional songs that are sung in a medley combined with dances and clothes that are specially designed with the richness of fabrics from the same area. Watching this show for an hour seemed to invite the audience to circle Indonesia from the west end to the east in succession.

With a geographical area of 1,811,570 km2, Indonesia also has a wealth of art and culture that is so vast and sublime. These various treasures, ranging from music, songs, dances, traditional clothing, to various intangible cultural heritages, are priceless national treasures.

The former vocalist of the band Cokelat as the Lead Singer as well as the music director, admitted that he was touched. "I am grateful to have met great people who really love Indonesia. I dare to take on the challenge of these two roles at once because I can learn a lot as a singer and music director," he explained.

According to him, it is important to document this performance as a form of gratitude because Indonesia was able to get through the COVIS-19 pandemic well. "This is a form of joy when Kisa as an artist can finally perform again. It's time to work together to fill the arts well. Yesterday during the pandemic we were hoping when we could perform. Now it is possible to give our best," he stressed.
