Yamaha Buys Six Awards At MPA 2023, XMAX Connected Best This Year

JAKARTA - Yamaha has again made a brilliant achievement that strengthens its position as one of the two-wheeled vehicle manufacturers. The brand with the logo 'Garputala' won a number of awards at the 2023 Motor Plus Award (MPA), which consists of several categories.

The Japanese manufacturer won six awards from eleven contested categories. The awards were awarded to several models, such as NMAX, Grand Filano, Fazzio, and Gear 125.

Not only did they succeed in winning the highest number of awards in three consecutive years, namely in 2019, 2021, and 2023, Yamaha also won another prestigious title, namely the Motorcycle of The Year 2023.

"This extraordinary achievement of course further extended the record of Yamaha's dominance in the MPA event which for three consecutive times managed to bring home the highest number of awards," said Antonius Widiantoro, Assistant General Manager of Marketing - Public Relations of PT Yamaha Indonesia Manufacturing Motor (YIMM), in a statement received by VOI, Saturday, October 21.

Different from the previous editions, this prestigious event used a different format. In its assessment, it is now based on three main points: Price, Total Cost of Ownership, and Resale Value.

In terms of price assessment, the jury will review the comparison of motorcycle prices as well as the technology and features offered to consumers. Then, the Total Cost of Ownership is assessed from the aspect of expenditure during one year of motorcycle ownership, both in terms of maintenance, fuel costs, and Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB).

Furthermore, the Resale Value includes a resale value after one year of motorcycle ownership. Whereas in terms of class division, it now refers to the price range in the market without distinguishing the type of motorbike sold.
