JAKARTA - Suzuki Motor recently announced the limited launch of the 2024 Suzuki Katana for the United States market. Orders for this motorbike are only open until October 20, 2023.

Named after a legendary samurai sword, the 2024 Katana retains its iconic design and features technical updates designed to enhance the riding enjoyment of this unique motorcycle.

In addition to the cool Metallic Matte Stellar Blue paint combined with gold-plated front forks, the 2024 Suzuki Katana gets increased power, a new Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle, and a dual-speed quick shift system.

Reporting from the Suzuki USA website, the 999cc engine from the base GSX-R 1000 now offers stronger torque in the low to mid range. Other engine updates include updated cam chain tensioners and adjusters, new camshaft profiles, new valve springs and revised engine finish.

For the first time, the 2024 Katana is also equipped with the latest Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) which includes a choice of three riding modes and five advanced traction control system modes, plus the convenient Easy Start and Low RPM Assist systems.

Suzuki also redesigned the Katana's exhaust, including a redesigned center chamber with a second catalytic converter. Since both converters are located in the center chamber, it is easy to install an aftermarket slip-on exhaust that complies with EPA regulations.

Meanwhile, as reported by Rideapart, September 26, Suzuki Motor USA is offering motorists in the United States two years of free service for buyers of the 2024 Suzuki Katana. As an added bonus, buyers will also receive a 24 inch x 24 inch reproduction of the Makoto Endo Katana illustration as a digital lithography . This image may be familiar to Katana fans and originally appeared in Cycle World magazine.

As for the price, the 2024 Suzuki Katana is priced at 13,879 US dollars, approximately IDR 215 million.
