JAKARTA - The electric motorcycle brand from the country, Selis has launched several bicycles and electric motorcycles to support the government's program in developing electric vehicles.

Some of the electric motors produced by manufacturers are Go Plus, E-Max, Agats, and Neo Scootic.

However, there is a model that attracts the attention of the Neo Scootic model series because the body is taken from a well-known sticker, a converted Honda Scoopy. However, the difference lies in the powertrain that is carried, embedded in dynamo, a 60-volt 20-Ah battery, and an LED Display.

Director of PT Selis Retail Indonesia, Wilson Teoh, gave a response regarding the model that took it from Honda Scoopy. He said that this was allowed by the Ministry of Transportation.

"Regarding the question of the legal license for motorbikes from other brands, it has actually been supported by the Ministry of Transportation for the implementation of conversions," said Teoh at a press conference in collaboration with Selis with Hyundai Kefico, Monday, April 17, 2023.

He also added that the electric motor produced by Selis had gone through a homologation process at the selis-owned workshop that had been certified.

"So, every unit of the electric motor conversion vehicle must follow the homologation process. The homologation process is carried out in a workshop and has been certified," added Teoh.

Teoh also revealed that his party is trying to expand the workshop network in several parts of Indonesia with several supporting equipment to facilitate the homologation process.

"We will also expand the network of workshops that have several tools for testing and homologation," concluded Teoh.
