Latest Toyota Yaris Cross Present In European Market, Only Offers Hybrid System

Toyota has announced an upgraded version of the Yaris Cross for the European market, consisting of the latest technology in the cabin, enhanced safety devices, and more powerful hybrid powertrains available.

Reporting from Carscoops, Tuesday, November 21, the compact SUV retains European spectral designs. However, the manufacturer added the Juneper Blue color to the palette. For the Premiere Edition type, it is equipped with Urban Khaki colors and an 18-inch rim set that is refreshing.

The GR Sport variant was also presented with a sporty appearance from before thanks to several devices from Toyota's top performance division, Gazoo Racing.

Meanwhile, the interior is also upgraded with the presence of larger infotainment screen options with 12.3 inches and 10.4 inches depending on trim level selection. The Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system has received improvements, now supporting over-the-air updates and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity.

Just like the Yaris hatchback, the Toyota Yaris Cross received the Smart Digital Key feature with additional remote control capabilities. In addition, all the grades display an updated seat pattern and an easier bottom instrument panel cover.

The Japanese manufacturer also equipped the car with standard safety equipment, Toyota T-Mate, for all its variants. It consists of several ADAS systems such as the Pre-Collition System, Acceleration Suppression, Protective Driving Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Rear Seat Reminder System, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Transferring to the engine sector, the manufacturer only provides a hybrid option as Toyota claims that self-charging hybrid technology is a number one decisive factor' for buyers of the Yaris Cross, which is why they don't offer ICE versions in Europe.

Yaris Cross received the latest hybrid powertrain which combines 1.5 liters of naturally-assisted motors with electric motors, resulting in power reaching 130 dk and torque 185 Nm. Although more powerful, the brand maintains fuel efficiency between 5.7 L/100 km to 6.8 L/100 km. However, the old hybrid powertrain option is also still sold with power reaching 114 dk and 141 Nm torque.

Unfortunately, the latest price of the vehicle has not been disclosed. However, Toyota announced that online reservations for this model will begin at the end of the month and detailed price information will be revealed ahead of its launch to the market.
