Rolls-Royce's First Electric Car Enters Malaysia At A Price Of IDR 6.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The premium premium automotive manufacturer, Rolls-Royce, launched its first electric vehicle (EV), Spectre, at the end of 2022.

After marking his debut as the first EV production model ever made by Rolls-Royce, Spectre immediately spread its wings to several countries, one of which was Malaysia.

The super luxury coup electric car is sold in neighboring countries with price tag starting from 2 million Malaysian ringgit or equivalent to Rp6.5 billion, but not among the desired options by customers, quoted from Paultan's report, Tuesday, September 5,

Spectre continues design languages such as its predecessor model, has a length dimension of 5,475 mm, width of 2,017 mm, height of 1,573 mm, and wheelbase of 3,210 mm, where the size almost matches the Phantom model.

In addition to its large size, Spectre comes with a rim of a size of 23 inches. This makes it the biggest rim in the Rolls-Royce model in 100 years.

Rolls-Royce also makes Spectre chassis 30 percent stiffer than any existing Rolls-Royce model, through battery integration and the use of aluminum exclusion.

Just like other Rolls-Royce models, Spectre presents by prioritizing driving comfort which has been the identity of the luxury brand for years.

The camera system can read the road surface in front and calibrate air springs accompanied by appropriate damping, so that vehicles can also release anti-roll bars when driving in a straight line to further increase driving comfort.

The front of the car is also presented more luxurious with two lightings. The lights are above during the day with the main lights under it.

The luxurious and exclusive impression is increasingly felt by the presence of the "Spirit of Ecstasy" on the front of the hood which has become the hallmark of the Rolls-Royce brand. In fact, the "Spirit of Ecstasy" has been redesigned for 830 hours in order to produce a barrier coefficient of 0.25, which is the lowest of all Rolls-Royce models.

The Spectre is built on the "Architecture of Luxury" platform which is flexiblely suitable for EVs and Rolls-Royce combustion engines. Meanwhile, batteries with a capacity of 102 kWh weighing up to 700 kg will provide Spectre range of about 520 km with a single charge.

With a total power of 584 dk and 900 Nm torque from two electric-one motors on each axis, these luxury cars are capable of accelerating from 0-100 km in just 4.4 seconds.
