JAKARTA - Mini confirms that they are currently preparing the latest generation of Countryman by carrying electric engines. This latest countryman will be the first model to be produced in Germany.

As quoted from the carscoops page, early March, this electric-powered Mini Countryman will be produced at the same factories as BMW 1-series, Gran Coupe 2-series, and Active Tourer 2-series. Production will begin at the end of 2023.

"The new electric-powered countryman ministries will show what brands are doing, which is like a go-kart streamed by electricity, and focus on a minimal environment," Stefanie Wurst said in a statement, as Mini's head.

Reportedly the Mini Countryman EV will be planted with high-power batteries and flat cabin floors. With this, Mini offers greater comfort and additional space for consumers.

Reportedly, the latest Mini Countryman is being tested in a yellow and black camouflage. Although still not reached the final stage, the Mini Countryman EV is likely to have a simpler front than its predecessor carrying a gasoline engine.

With his move from a gasoline-fueled car to an electric car, the latest Countryman will not use an exhaust that will make the identity of his electric car even stronger. Mini also confirmed that the car will use a unique set of wheels.

For the runway, this electric Mini Countryman is rumored to be installed with a battery package with a capacity of 64.7 kWh plus the same powertrain as BMW iX 1. If true, then the Mini Countryman will produce a maximum power of 308 dk.

Of course, the resulting power is slightly greater than its predecessor, namely Countryman ALL4 of 302 dk.
