Police Have Been Guarded, Rendang 200 Kg Which Is Cooked By Content Creators Lost Before Matang

JAKARTA - Recently, content creator Willie Salim drew the spotlight after experiencing unpleasant things when holding a cooking event in Palembang. He experienced loss of rendang meat while still cooking.

It is known, Willie held a big cooking event to open with Palembang residents in the Kuto Besak Fort (BKB) yard, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. He also uploaded the rendang cooking process through his Instagram account @willie27_.

Initially, the rendang cooking process went very smoothly. Willie and his team cooked 200 kilograms of beef with all the spices in a large pan.

In the middle of the cooking process, Willie said goodbye to go to the toilet for a while. However, he was then surprised to hear the news that the rendang meat he was cooking was missing.

Then in the next upload, a policeman who was guarding the safety of the event explained what happened until the rendang disappeared. He said that many residents were scrambling to take meat directly from the pan as Willie left, even though at that time the rendang was not ripe.

"I've directed it, but I don't want to hear it. It's hot and haven't cooked yet, still," the police said, quoted on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Willie also admitted that he did not expect the rendang to run out in a short time. Especially considering that the rendang was hundreds of kilograms.

"These are hundreds of kilograms," said Willie.

The police again explained that residents took rendang meat which was still hot in various ways, such as using plastic bags, buckets, and dippers. This again made Willie Salim unable to understand.

"But it's not yet complete, sir," said Willie again.

"This is extraordinary," continued the policeman.

After that, Willie admitted that he had never experienced such an incident in making his content. He then conveyed several things about Palembang.

This incident experienced by Willie Salim immediately drew the public spotlight. Many regret this incident so that some question whether it was fabricated or not.

However, a Palembang content creator who called himself the mayor, Ryan Kemas, admitted that he was disappointed and ashamed about what happened to Willie Salim. He asked the people involved to lose Willie Salim's rendang to change their attitude.

"Willie Salim came, rendang had not cooked, was left for less than 10 minutes, the rendang was lost. For those of you people who are greedy, who don't know yourself, please don't embarrass Palembang City," Ryan concluded Kemas on his TikTok account @kes_ryan.
