JAKARTA - Mona Ratuliu is one of the artists who has highlighted the air pollution around Jakarta which has been widely discussed by the public lately. He admitted that the air conditions in the nation's capital were worrying.
With the current air conditions, Mona Ratuliu is in a dilemma, she doesn't want her young child to have to be exposed to the bad effects of air pollution, so she spends more time in a closed room. But on the other hand, her children like to play outdoors.
"So, now I'm looking for an indoor first. Most of all, if you go on vacation (outdoor), it's also the maximum amount of time. So that's the problem," said Mona Ratuliu to the media crew in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Thursday, August 24.
"Just, yes, children, if you look at nature (natural) you must be happy, especially since you are still a toddler," he continued.
Mona regretted the poorer air conditions, because the facilities around her house supported her baby to play outdoors. However, he chose to recommend the child play indoors.
"Well, that's it, there's a lot of pollution. Actually, we live in an apartment with a lot of facilities, such as a swimming pool, then there's an outdoor playground too, there's a basketball court, there's a tennis court," said Mona Ratuliu.

"Actually, it's pretty good to be able to meet the needs of children's activities, but back to pollution," he added.
Another effort was also made by Indra Brasco's wife to provide better air quality for children at home. He tries to decorate his house using green plants in the hope of minimizing air pollution. In fact, it is recognized that Mona does not have a hobby of growing plants before.
"I don't like plants, but I like green ones too, I don't like ornamental plants," said Mona Ratuliu.
"It seems that now because of the issue of pollution, we want to find plants that can filter the air, so that it can be cleaner. This is still a stage of choosing plants as well. That's why we are browsing, whether there are plants that can help the air at home is cleaner, so that children can play outside or swim, they are not afraid of pollution," he concluded.
