JAKARTA - The production house MVP Pictures is preparing to show the film Dear Jo: Almost Is Never Enough. Adapted from the best seller novel by Sefryana Khairil, the film, directed by Monty Tiwa, will air on August 10.

Monty Tiwa said that his film focuses on a love story, especially love between the three main characters, Jourdy Pranata, Anggika Bolsterli and Salshabilla Adriani.

"This film talks about love, love for husband to wife, love for friends, love father and son," said Monty Tiwa during the gala premiere at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Wednesday, August 2.

Similar to what is in the novel, the love shown brings a touching story by combining emotions, inspiration, and awareness of the wonders of love and friendship.

Dear Jo: Almost Is Never Enough tells the story of Joshua (Jourdy Pranata) and Maura (Salshabilla Adriani), a young married husband and wife couple who work in Baku, Azerbaijan. Despite their financial success, they felt uneasy because Maura could not get pregnant.

Maura has a close friend named Ella (Anggika Bolsterli), a single parent from Indonesia who also lives in Baku. Ella understood Maura's desire to have children, and they agreed Ella would be a surrogate mother or surrogate mother.

However, when Ella was pregnant, an unexpected event occurred, Maura died in a tragic accident. The incident devastated Ella and Joshua. Their lives fell apart, not according to what had been planned.

This film combines stories about surrogate mothers with elements of friendship, love, loss and sincerity. The choice of background in Azerbaijan also provides its own appeal to this story.
