Hwang Min Hyun Ex Wanna One Debut Solo Via Album Mini Truth Or Lie

JAKARTA - Hwang Min Hyun, a member of the K-Pop group project that has disbanded Wanna One and NU'EST, debuted as a solo singer by releasing the mini album Truth or Lie on Monday, February 27. Truth or Lie consists of six songs, namely Hidden Side as the main song, Honest, Crossword, Perfect Type, Smile, and Cube.

Hwang Min Hyun wants to show various sides of himself that have never been shown to anyone through the album. "Because this is my first solo album, I want to tell you about myself," Hwang Min Hyun told the media, Yonhap reported, Monday, February 27.

Because there are many different sides of him, Hwang Min Hyun admits that he spends a lot of time thinking and getting to know more about himself while preparing for the release.

"I am known as a gentle, friendly, and gentle person, but, this time I want to show an unexpected charm," said Hwang Min Hyun.

Hwang said Hidden Side was chosen as the main song because he wanted to make a solo debut with a song that made him comfortable while dancing on stage.

"First, I'm hungry to appear on stage. Second, because I think many are my fans after seeing him appear on stage as a member of an idol group. I want to show what they remember," Hwang said.

Hwang debuted in 2021 as the vocalist of the K-pop group boy NU'EST. In 2017, he participated in the second season of the Produce 101 audition event and became a member of Wanna One, a project group consisting of 11 members.

After Wanna One was dissolved, Hwang rejoined NU'EST until the group disbanded in 2022. Apart from singing, Hwang is also active as an actor. Recently, he appeared in the Alchemy of Souls series broadcast on the South Korean television station tvn.
