Falls Into The Political World, Verrell Bramasta Vices Children Broken Home

Verrell Bramasta, who has been known as an actor through his acting on the small screen, chose to enter politics. He was officially introduced as a member of the National Mandate Party (PAN) on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

In a press conference held at the PAN DPP office in Warung Buncit, South Jakarta, Verrell was seen with a different appearance than usual. Venna Melinda's eldest son appeared with glasses and beards that were allowed to grow.

Verrell said the changes to his appearance, one of which was due to a request from Putri Zulkifli Hasan as Deputy Chairperson of the PAN DPP.

"This is a request from Kak Putri. Incidentally, my eyes are minus, that's why I wear glasses. So, I think I just want to change my appearance, because this is something new for me. The new world is a new chapter in my life too," said Verrel at a press conference at the PAN DPP office on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

When asked by the media crew about his beard and mustache being left to grow, Verrell said it was also part of the change in leadership he wanted to show.

"Do you think it's good? If it's good, I'll defend it. It's still in holes, what is certain is that I won't shave, I'll take a shampoo bath so it's added," he said.

Regarding his decision to enter politics, Verrell has a plan to fight for the legislative seat. He will follow in the footsteps of his mother who has already entered first.

"That's right, I will take part in the legislative assessment in 2024. For this mother third, for me this is the first," he said.

In his campaign, Verrell wanted to raise the issue of domestic violence, violence committed by people living or sharing the same place as victims. Domestic Violence (KDRT) is one of the highlights.

"When asked about the program, of course I will focus on millennials, gen z and mothers. And I want to focus on domestic violence. This domestic violence can be wide, it can be from the figure of my father to the figure of my grandparents," said Verrell.

As a broken home child, I know they don't dare to speak up for fear of being considered a disgrace. Many people present domestic violence themselves. I will fight for such things so that they can be successful at a young age for the good of others," he said.

Eko also enthusiastically welcomed Verrell's joining the party he had lived in for decades. The husband of actress Viona Rosalina has high hopes for Verrell, who is considered to represent the millennial generation.

"Of course we will fully support and Verrell must be done. Because earlier, we bridged millennial young people who really wanted to go into politics and didn't know where to go. And he could be a millennial ambassador," said Eko Patrio at a press conference at the PAN DPP office, South Jakarta on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

In line with Eko Patrio, Putri Zulkifli Hasan as Deputy Chairperson of the PAN DPP also agreed that Verrell would represent the millennial generation of his party.

Verrell is perfect if we place it in millennials. We prepare Verrell to become chairman of millennials throughout Indonesia. Later, with the presence of Verrell, millennial friends will be more enthusiastic," said Putri.

Verrell, who knows there will be many questions from the public regarding his decision to enter politics, especially at a relatively young age, has an answer to that. He considered himself a millennial generation to represent other millennials.

"We are the most relevant children for today's life, we will lead this nation later. In fact, from a statistical point of view, the city's population leads 50 - 60 percent. That's why it's better if their aspirations can be accommodated by people who come from millennials," concluded Verrell.
