The Chairman Of APMI Asks For A Case Of Dispute Access After The Dewa 19 Concert At JIS To Be Made A Lesson

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Music Promotors (APMI) Dino Hamid said the chaos of access came out after the grand concert of the band Dewa 19 at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta, last Saturday night, should be used as a lesson for all promoters who want to hold a big event.

"Everything must have a process, the positive side is that if there are no pioneers who dare to try on a large scale like yesterday, maybe until now we will never know what to fix from JIS," said Dino, quoted by Antara, Monday.

Although not involved in this concert, the police had contacted Dino as the leader of the promoter association to ask for security advice.

Considering that Dino and the team also held a concert with guests from South Korea at JIS last October 2022, even though the number of spectators was not in the tens of thousands.

He also admitted that he had suspected that there would be chaos in the outflow and traffic after the Dewa 19 concert with around 70 thousand spectators.

"If the stadium's capacity is qualified, but regarding access, flow settings, placement of time, it must really be prepared optimally, because again it's a new venue, vehicles generally have not been fully integrated and are still very limited," said Dino.

Dino said JIS is still maximizing the aspect of access to the flow of spectators, where this stadium is planned to be integrated with public transportation, although it is still in progress.

JIS, according to Dino, is open to improvement and learns a lot from experience. This can be seen in the air circulation of good stadiums at the Dewa 19 concert, where these developments occurred thanks to concerts that had been held at JIS before, the lack of blowers made the venue stuffy.

"I am sure that JIS will record this issue for improvement," he added.

Previously, the legendary band concert titled Partai Rakyat 30 Tahun Berkarya Dewa 19 with tens of thousands of spectators was successfully held at the largest stadium in Southeast Asia, JIS. However, there was traffic chaos after the dispersal of the concert.

The tweets of protests and complaints from the audience were widely contained on Twitter social media, people's collapses were trapped in the JIS area in a matter of hours due to motorbikes, cars, shuttle buses, to pedestrians crossing into one on a narrow road.

There are also many points on the roads in the residential area where there are many reshuffle projects.
