JAKARTA - BLACKPINK's Jisoo is preparing a solo album that will be released this year. The agency announced this news after Jisoo leaked this news through the fan community.

"BLACKPINK's Jisoo is working hard to record her solo album," YG Entertainment said in a statement today, Monday, January 2.

"While undergoing a world tour schedule last year, he completed an album shoot and worked on music production whenever he had time to fulfill promises with fans," the agency explained.

"He will greet fans with good news," concluded the agency statement.

Previously Jisoo answered fan questions through Weverse. This fan asked if he could look forward to Jisoo's solo album in 2023.

Jisoo then replied to the question and said that fans could look forward to her solo album.
