Harvey Weinstein Has Been Declared Guilty Of Sexual Harassment Cases

JAKARTA - Los Angeles jury found Harvey Weinstein guilty of three cases of rape and sexual harassment against a woman. The statement came after months of trial.

While the other four cases are still in the discussion stage because their opinion is divided. The allegations stemmed from a woman in February 2023 at a hotel room in Beverly Hills.

Launching NME, the woman called Jane Doe 1 stated that the former producer attacked her. He also said that this incident would forever be traumatized in his life.

"I knew I had to see this until the end and I did. I hope Harvey Weinstein never sees life outside of prison in his life," said the Jane Doe 1 woman.

Weinstein is threatened with 24 years in prison for the case. A Los Angeles jury called Weinstein guilty of a third-degree rape. Weinstein's attorney JudaIGmamayer responded to the results of the latest trial.

"Harvey (Weinstein) is disappointed but hopefully because of this accusation. But this is the basis for filing an appeal," saidIGelmayer.

"He is grateful the jury took their time to consider other things and he is ready to continue to fight for his innocence," he continued.

The rape and sexual harassment case of Harvey Weinstein was the start of the #MeToo campaign in 2017. After this case became crowded, actresses and filmmakers began to speak out about the harassment cases they experienced in the entertainment industry.

This case also inspired the film She Said which was released in the middle of the Los Angeles trial process.
