Kemenhan Bersedia Allow BTS Tampil Kala Manjib Militer

JAKARTA - BTS will carry out military service starting with Jin in the near future. This news contradicts the Ministry which is discussing the suspension of the K-pop group.

Today, Tuesday, October 18, Moon Hong Sik as the representative of the South Korean Ministry of Defense gave a statement. They will allow BTS to appear even though they are carrying out military service.

"Our position is that we will give them the opportunity if they want to appear when there is a national scale event for the public or an event designed for the national interest," Moon Hong Sik told The Korea Times.

In general, when someone is serving in the military, they are not allowed to do activities outside the military. K-pop idols who carry out military are not allowed to promote as artists because they serve the country.

They are also not allowed to hold concerts or appear to promote not as members of the military. However, it is different from BTS who received permission to appear in the midst of the military.

This statement was released a day after Big Hit Music announced seven BTS members were willing to fulfill their obligations to the military. Jin as the oldest member is confirmed to depart this year.

The agency said that Jin BTS' plan would depart after completing the promotion of his songs and solo albums. While other members will decide to join the military according to their individual plans.

Jin's members will start the schedule procedure after his solo album is completed at the end of October. Then he will continue his mandatory military procedure according to Korean government regulations," Big Hit Music said.

BTS plans to perform in full by 2025. This indicates the possibility of the youngest three members: Jimin, V, and Jungkook leaving for military service earlier than the provisions.

On the other hand, the statement by the Ministry of Defense of South Korea irritated BTS fans. They think the government is exploiting their idol by this rule.

"You're kidding! You guys use BTS. Leave them and let them do what they want," wrote one ARMY.

"Because BTS voted for military service, South Korea's Ministry of Defense and military encouraged them to continue their activities while training because they wanted to take advantage," added another.

Obviously BTS. They are humans, not your robots! exclaimed fans.
