JAKARTA - Education facilities in the Eastern Indonesia region refer to NTT, Maluku, and Papua which are stigmatized at minus. Lack of infrastructure, the character of a hard and frightening person, dealing with conflicts and not being noticed makes many people hesitate when asked to become teachers in the area.

The Indonesia Teaching Foundation has just completed a Education Conference in Eastern Indonesia, which will be held for two days at Gedung A Kemendikbud, Jakarta from Saturday - Sunday, September 24-25. This event was made to reject the negative stigma of education in Eastern Indonesia, as well as to produce concrete solutions, tips, tips and joint recommendations from volunteers who devote themselves for a full year in remote areas to become teachers, teachers for children from Eastern Indonesia.

Indonesian Teaching Volunteers in 12 years have helped with everything they can, with minimal accommodation and supplies, and are not allowed to go home before retirement for a full year. One of them, Yogi Adjie Driantama when met at the location of this activity.

Yogi established a school for children who could not continue schooling or drop out of school for various reasons, such as finances, family situations to children who had been involved in legal problems. The school existed and was born from Yogi's traumatic experience who had dropped out of school due to financial problems.

"Create personal experience, where I used to drop out of school and then chose to work odd jobs. After that, I saw that many children had dropped out of formal school for various things, which in the end they couldn't choose their jobs properly. Until 2018 I finally decided to resign from where I work, then I took the initiative to use a little savings. I and set up a school for children to drop out of school," said Yogi.

The free school, which was founded by Yogi Adjie Driantama as Founder & Director, is located in Medan City. Yes, he was invited as an inspirational guest that Indonesian Teaching volunteers can imitate to be able to apply it in the Eastern hemisphere of Indonesia.

One of the reasons Yogi initiated this was because the city of Medan had a fairly high number of children dropping out of school. "In the second year of this school being established, we decided to be able to receive children from every province, for children who really want to continue their formal school. Where in every city we also have volunteers who will later conduct interviews or selection to check the children's seriousness or interest in continuing schooling again. For those who graduate, they will later be sent to Medan for school. There we plan to screen the dormitories for them, and they are free of charge, eat and we have provided them," Yogi continued in a release received by VOI.

In addition to presenting an inspirational figure, the Education Conference in Eastern Indonesia also simulates inspiring activities for Indonesian children, one of which is through the Tembokpedia Community. The Wallpedia itself is a community promoted by Indonesia Teaching. In this commission, various educational events are organized, especially drawing by creations on walls or in certain spots.

The wallpedia is present as a forum for young people to be more concerned about the environment, creative in developing ideas that are poured through drawing or coloring art. The wall itself is quite positive and inspiring because it can make children more creative, communicative, socialized and responsible.

"We must have seen the walls on the road as depicted at will, ranging from harsh words, hate speech to indecent images can sometimes be found on the road. Worse, sometimes the image or scribble does not match the place or arbitrarily," said Tri Widyastuti, a volunteer from the Tembokpedia community.

The Tembokpedia Community itself is currently in 11 cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Tangerang, Bekasi, Sumedang, Makassar, Konawe, Pontianak, Temanggung, Jombang, and Sula islands in North Maluku Islands.

Hardono's Hikmat, Chairman of the Indonesian Teaching Foundation, hopes that the fire of enthusiasm and servants must remain and continue to burn.

"East Indonesia has many problems. We hope that we can hear and share to be able to jointly advance education in each region. We hope that educators will be stronger and more daring in educating every child of the Indonesian nation, especially in this Eastern hemisphere," Hikmat hoped.
