JAKARTA - The film Jailangkung: Sandekala spreads a gripping terror to its players in a 30-second teaser released Monday, August 1. The film produced by Sky Media & CJ ENM invites the audience to recognize two patterns that overshadow the mystery story.

Narrated by Mike Lukock's character, it tells the story of children who go missing at sunset and other children who go missing but are accompanied by missing children who were previously found dead.

With the subtitle Sandekala, this time Jailangkung is in the cold hands of director Kimo Stamboel, who previously succeeded in working on "Queen of the Dark Arts".

The film is also supported by Rapi Films, Legacy Pictures, and Nimpuna Sinema. Kimo said this time he took Jailangkung in a different direction.

"I try to include family stories here. I really like the tragic family theme, but there is an effort to survive," said Kimo.

"Hopefully we can bring a strong family theme but can still feel fresh. Even though it already exists, but we reverse the perspective, a nightmare scenario for all families, namely when a family member goes missing in the middle of the holidays," he added.

Kimo wrote the story with Rinaldy Puspoyo. Supernatural terror centers on a family who is on a vacation trip out of town. Unexpectedly disaster came when they made a detour to a tourist lake area.

This is where the youngest child named Kinan (Muzakki Ramdhan), suddenly mysteriously disappeared without a trace at sunset.

To give something that has not been seen before in the "Jailangkung" franchise, Kimo gives a touch that has become his signature, namely horror with a surprising twist.

"This film certainly still feels like a rollercoaster ride with fun that can be enjoyed by everyone," he said.

There is also a family story that is raised in the film "Jailangkung: Sandekala" is the family of Adrian (Dwi Sasono) with his wife Sandra (Titi Kamal) and their two children Niki (Syifa Hadju) and Kinan (Muzakki Ramdhan).

"As soon as I read the script, I felt I should join the film 'Jailangkung: Sandekala' because the storyline is interesting. This is my first time being directed by Kimo. Kimo's film is like 'Queen of the Dark Arts', I really like it. the other players are Syifa, Dwi and Muzakki," said Titi Kamal.

Meanwhile, Syifa Hadju plays Niki, Kinan's sister and the eldest child in Sandra's family. Playing in Kimo's film is an unforgettable thing for Syifa.
