JAKARTA - Two months after LE SSERAFIM, HYBE will introduce a new girl group called NewJeans. This group is under the ADOR sub-label led by Min Hee Jin.
HYBE and ADOR made a surprise by releasing NewJeans' debut music video entitled Attention on Thursday, July 21. The song Attention, which is a pop R&B genre, depicts the freedom of teenagers who are attracting the world's attention.
The music video is colored by the visuals of the five members: Hani, Minji, Haerin, Danielle, and Hyein. They were seen having fun along the Spanish roads.
Min Hee Jin as the CEO admitted that the selection of concepts and songs was inspired by a pair of jeans.
“Music is a culture that is as close to our lives as the clothes we wear. Jeans are items that are loved by many people regardless of age and situation," Min Hee Jin quoted OSEN as saying.
The word NewJeans means like New Gene or a new generation. The hope is that the NewJeans group can bring something new to the K-pop industry.
On July 23, July 25, and August 1, NewJeans will be releasing three new music videos: Hypeboy, Hurt, and Cookie. Followed by the first mini album which will be released on August 1st.
