Review Of Ghost Writer 2: Comedy Drama That Doubles The Excitement

JAKARTA - Ghost Writer film continues to the second part. This time, Muhadkly Acho is believed to be the director to continue Bene Dion Radjagukguk's success with his first film.

Acho admits Ghost Writer 2 is his directorial debut, not because of Legacy. This film is his first project after being a comedy consultant for a number of films.

The main players such as Tatjana Saphira, Deva Mahenra, Endy Arfian, Moh Iqbal Sulaiman returned to appear in Ghost Writer 2. Of course with the addition of new players such as Widyawati Sophiaan, Annisa Hertami, Arief Didu, Djenar Maesa Ayu, Tanta Ginting, and many others.

With the horror comedy genre, Ghost Writer 2 performs twice as much fun as the first.

Ghost Writer 2 tells the story of Naya (Tatjana Saphira) becoming a successful novelist. The works that he created with the ghost of Galih continue to sit on the best-seller shelves. However, people think that Naya is a shaman rather than a novelist.

Naya wants to change her image as a novelist. Therefore, Naya asks Alvin (Ernest Prakasa) to be introduced to a popular novelist named Kirana Widuri (Djenar Maesa Ayu).

In addition, Naya and her boyfriend Vino (Deva Mahenra) plan to get married soon. They begin to prepare for the event with a few conflicts, including facing Vino's mother, Mrs. Anna (Widyawati Sophiaan).

Naya's life changes after Vino dies in an accident on the set. Vino also comes to see Naya as a ghost, but there is another ghost figure who continues to terrorize Naya and makes it difficult for her to write a new novel.

Naya's younger brother, Darto (Endy Arfian) is getting closer to Billy (Moh Iqbal Sulaiman). Those who are now horror youtubers try to challenge themselves by looking for ghosts that can be captured in their videos.

Naya, Vino, Darto, and Billy also work together to find out the origin of the ghost that terrorized Naya.

Ghost Writer 2 focuses more on Vino. If in the first part, the audience gets acquainted with Naya's life, this time the story will focus heavily on the character of Vino who replaces Galih's position.

Deva Mahenra also appeared extraordinary as Vino. He is able to control emotional moments that are often combined with comedy. Not alone, Deva is helped a lot by Endy and Iqbal who become a funny duo like the first.

Tatjana Saphira's position here serves as a bridge between the characters, such as her first interaction with Vino with Darto. Tatjana's presence is still needed for the Ghost Writer 2 story.

Likewise the story of Ghost Writer 2 which is far developed from the first. Acho and Nonny Boenawan bring social issues in this part of the film, namely human trafficking.

Of course, this social issue is wrapped up with evenly distributed family drama conflicts. Starting from the relationship between mother and child, prospective in-laws and prospective daughter-in-law, and many others.

The comedy part is conveyed well even though the audience may be able to read the scene. For example, how Darto and Billy plan to develop their YouTube program to become more famous.

The duration is also quite long compared to the first film, but the excitement of Ghost Writer 2 can still be enjoyed. This sequel also proves that the Ghost Writer franchise is able to develop well and even double the fun.
