Cysts In The Brain Stem As Experienced By Sarwendah, Here Are The Symptoms And Types

In fact, this type of brain cyst may contain sweat gland cells or hair follicle cells. An eidermoid cyst is often called an epidermoid tumor. It is made up of a small amount of tissue that gets trapped when the muscles and spinal cord are formed. Epidermoid cysts grow very slowly and often first appear when a person is an adult. Pineal cyst, occurs in the pineal gland in the middle of the brain. This type of cyst often only appears during an imaging scan. Pineal cysts rarely cause problems but can sometimes affect vision. A brain abscess occurs anywhere in the brain as a single cyst or multiple cysts. Abscesses are often caused by bacterial infection, or can be due to parasites or fungi. Neoplastic cysts are caused by benign or malignant tumors. When a brain tumor starts outside the brain, it is called metastasis.

There are various causes of brain cysts. First, it can form during the first few weeks as the baby grows in the womb. Second, it is caused by a buildup of fluid in the brain area, and some causes of brain cysts can be triggered by a head injury or other trauma to the brain.
