Accident, Ziva Magnolya Becomes A Blind Girl

JAKARTA - Ziva Magnolya and Naufal Samudra compete in the film Sinar for Genta. This film will air on KlikFilm starting Friday, June 24, 2022.

This film tells the story of Sinar (Ziva Magnolya) who had to lose her sight due to an accident. This makes Sinar feel hopeless and lose her joy, until she finally meets Genta (Naufal Samudra). Sinar and Genta will develop a close relationship, but will also face many twists and turns together.

Ziva admitted that he was very happy and felt challenged to play Sinar. She has difficulty playing the character. Sinar is a woman who loves music, but has lost her sight.

While playing the role of a blind person, Ziva had difficulty playing her role because she did not know what blind people really felt and what they saw.

"I really have a hard time playing a blind person. Because actually I don't know, I don't know how to describe the blind person, what they see is dark or what. So yes, the difficulty is how to describe the blind person," said Ziva when press conference, on Thursday, June 23.

To deepen her character, Ziva discussed a lot with the director and was assisted by an acting coach. Not only that, he was also assisted by a film crew who has a blind brother.

"First I asked the director and coincidentally there was an acting coach as well. There was a crew who also had relatives who couldn't see like that, which was from an accident. That's why I asked a lot of people who were blind, about what they saw, yes it was all It's gone. From there, I got quite a bit of knowledge, as well as searching," he said.

Ziva said that studying Sinar's character, he was also helped by his experience as a singer. He states with his ability to imagine or imagine something, making it easy to fit into his character.

"I'm basically a singer, yes, singing with acting is actually slightly different. For example, if I sing, I don't need to feel (the content of the song), but before singing I fantasize, I imagine being in that position," he said.

"So, I feel we don't have to plunge into everything, we have to do it to feel it. So while we can describe what we imagine, it can be the same way. So yes (singing helps to deepen the character)," said Ziva Magnolia.

Meanwhile, Naufal Samudra admitted that he had read the novel that became the story of this film, even before being offered the role of Genta.

"I accept it because one co-star is Ziva, and the storyline is really good. So, before I was asked to be Genta, I did read the novel. His work was very touching, I was moved when I was offered to be Genta, so yes I accepted when offered," explained Naufal.
