JAKARTA - Director of Drug Investigation at the West Java Police, Kombes Police Johannes R. Manalu, revealed that the artist with the initials GI alias Gary Iskak and four of his colleagues who were arrested by the police tested positive for drugs.

It is suspected that at the time of his arrest, Gary Iskak was still high after consuming methamphetamine along with four other people. This is the second time Gary has been caught on drugs. He was imprisoned for the same case on September 21, 2007.

"The urine has been tested and the results are all five positive (using) methamphetamine," he said at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, West Java, Tuesday, May 24.

GI was escorted to the Drug Investigation Directorate of the West Java Police at around 15.15 WIB. GI was escorted along with four of his colleagues who are also suspected of being drug abuse suspects.

When he got out of the police car, GI was wearing a green T-shirt. He also wore a white mask and a gray hat. To the media crew who covered it, Gary raised his right thumb.

Even so, Johannes has not mentioned in detail the identities of the five people who were arrested. He only mentioned the five suspects with the initials GI, TR, DW, AR, and SP.

When asked about GI who is an artist, Johannes was unable to convey. According to him, the police are still investigating the narcotics crime.

"We don't know (the artist) yet," said Johannes.

Previously, the West Java Regional Police (Polda) stated that they had arrested the artist with the initials GI. The artist was arrested on Monday, May 23. GI and four of his colleagues had previously been examined at the West Java National Narcotics Agency office.
