JAKARTA - Actor Johnny Depp testified about his broken finger due to Amber Heard. He admitted that at that time he lied to the doctor so that his name would not be dragged.

The incident stems from an argument between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in Australia. They fight until Heard throws a bottle of vodka at Depp and hits him on the finger. However, Depp did not reveal the incident to his doctor.

"I don't want to tell you that it was Miss Heard who threw the bottle of vodka and broke my finger," Johnny Depp said at court Wednesday, April 27.

"I don't want him to be in trouble. I try to keep things easy for everyone. I don't want him to be dragged away."

Johnny Depp's personal doctor, David Kipper, explained that he and his nurse, Debbie Lloyd, came to Depp's house and did not see Heard. Kipper received a text message from Depp that his finger was cut off.

“I cut off the tip of my middle finger. What should I do? Except of course to the hospital. I'm ashamed if this drags (Amber Heard)," said Johnny Depp.

Kipper said he found Depp's fingertips in the kitchen and took them. Later, Depp told his doctor the truth that his wife was the culprit.

"He (Kipper) asked what happened to my finger, and again I lied. And I made up the story as if I hit the door. And he said, "Sir, that's a wound from a fast moving object," explained Johnny Depp.

The incident took place on March 7, 2015 and was caused when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were discussing a post-nuptial agreement. An emotional Heard throws a bottle of vodka and hits Depp's hand.

To date, the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues. Depp sued his ex-wife for physical and emotional abuse.
