JAKARTA - Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton spoke about the progress of the songwriting session for the new album by the legend of NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal), which once held a concert in Indonesia. The album is a follow-up to Firepower which was released four years ago.
In a recent interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, Tipton said, "There have been many writing ideas that will form the foundation of this album. Even though they still display Judas Priest characteristics, they will not repeat the same as in their previous albums.
"There's no trying to be smart or try and do anything too risky. And like I said, I think that would be what every Priest fan would want," said Tipton.

Halford also confirmed that on the upcoming album, Judas Priest will meet again with the Firepower album production team consisting of Andy Sneap, longtime collaborator Tom Allom and engineer Mike Exeter (Black Sabbath).
