In Minutes, BTS Concert Tickets Almost Sold Out

JAKARTA - BTS or ARMY fans immediately stormed the ticket to watch their idol group's concert at the cinema. This is the group's first live concert in Seoul in two years.

As quoted from Yonhap, Saturday, about 36,000 tickets for the concert titled "Permission to Dance on Stage-Seoul: Live Viewing" on March 12, 2022, at South Korea's CJ CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox theaters almost sold out in minutes, according to the multiplex network Friday.

Tickets for this concert are priced at 49,000 won or equivalent to IDR 586,375. CGV opened sales of 25,000 tickets on 39 screens nationwide as of 10 a.m. the previous day, and most of them were sold out immediately. Few seats were available in Wonju, Gangwon Province, on Friday, February 25 morning.

CGV said its ticketing system had become overwhelmed by the influx of orders on Thursday morning. "This is actually the first time we have experienced such a system slowdown since the COVID-19 pandemic," said an official from CGV as quoted by ANTARA.

On the other hand, Lotte Cinema provides 7,000 seats for 32 screens, while Megabox sells 4,000 tickets on 21 screens and all tickets are sold out.

BTS will hold three concerts, titled “BTS Permission To Dance On Stage - Seoul,” on March 10, 12, and 13, 2022, at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in southern Seoul.

This will be the seven-member group's first face-to-face concert in Seoul since performing on its world tour in October 2019. Only 15,000 people will be allowed to attend one day of the live music event amid a spike in COVID-19 infections.

The second day of the show, on March 12, is available for "live viewing" in theaters, while the other two days will be broadcast live online.

Indonesia is one of the countries that will broadcast live concerts. CGV via its social media page informed that the concert will be broadcast live in three cinemas, namely CGV Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, Paris Van Java Bandung, and BG Junction Surabaya on March 12, 2022, at 15:45 western Indonesia time.

Ticket prices for watching BTS concerts are priced at IDR 450,000. As of Saturday morning, there is no detailed information regarding the time of ticket purchase and the number of tickets available for each cinema.
